John was born & raised in Bettendorf, a 1999 graduate of Bettendorf High School. Enlisting & proudly serving our Country in the United States Marine Corps, John returned home and started working in the residential construction industry. Juggling work and school at the same time, John earned his A.A. from Scott Community College and a B.A. from St. Ambrose. Experienced in all paths of residential construction, John worked for another local builder and ran his field operations before joining River Valley Homes. John contributes back to the profession, serving on the Legislative Committee for the Quad City Builders and Remodelers Association.
Bob McGivern
Bob is a real estate appraiser with 30 years of experience in eastern Iowa & western Illinois specializing in complex residential, commercial & light industrial valuation. In addition to his valuation work, Bob is an active real estate investor as well as developer of new construction residential with-in the Iowa Quad Cities. Active in the community & industry, Bob served six years on the Davenport City Council, Past President of the Greater Davenport Board of Realtors and most recently President of the Iowa Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. He holds the SRA designation from the Appraisal Institute and awarded Realtor of the Year honors in 2000.
